Jeremy Chatzky

 

Jeremy Chatzky is a bass player living in New York City, specializing in both upright and electric bass.  He played on the Bruce Springsteen album the Seeger Sessions and toured with Springsteen as a member of the Sessions Band in 2006. That tour was documented on the Live In Dublin CD and DVD. He can be heard on the recent release by Ronnie Spector -- Last of the Rock Stars -- and performs with her regularly.  Other recordings he has recently played on include Steve Earle’s Washington Square Serenade, Patty Scialfa’s Play It As It Lays, Laura Cantrell’s Humming By The Flowered Vine and the title track of Springsteens’s Magic.  He has toured with They Might Be Giants and Laura Cantrell, in addition to Springsteen and  Ronnie Spector, among others, and was in the band for the rock musicals Hedwig and the Angry Inch and People Are Wrong. In New York City he can regularly be seen performing with The Losers Lounge at Joe’s Pub and various  other locales (check out their upcoming tribute to The Carpenters in Febuary and their special Disco show at Lincoln Center in July).  The Losers Lounge band was also the house band for the ABC game show My Kind Of Town. Jeremy has also recorded or performed with Garland Jeffreys, Joey Ramone, Michael Cerveris, Lisa Loeb, Daniel Johnston, Maxine Brown, Amy Rigby, Mary Lee Kortes, Julia Greenberg, Phillips & Driver and many others.  In the next few months he can also be seen performing with the Grammy nominated childrens music artist Brady Rymer.
